RDV Parade of Sail by James M Pilgrim – Source
Having been awarded Port of the Year four times by Tall Ships America you can be sure of an unforgettable experience as tall ships of all shapes and sizes visit the city, including the 35 metre Viking Longship Draken Harald Hårfagre!
It's not just the tall ships that have come from around the world however as an endless line-up of both local and international music acts will be on hand to keep you entertained over in Wenonah Park throughout the weekend alongside children activities and more to make sure you simply cannot run out of things to do.
Among our recommendations for this event is of course the sail in parade. It's your chance to witness what is already an 11 strong fleet of tall ships head downtown one after the other and a truly remarkable sight even without them being able to set their sails so close to shore. If you're staying late on the day of your visit remember it's not all over at 5pm as the lively sound of Sea Shanties will be heard into the evening at The Quarterdeck for Ballads and Brews.
From Bay City the fleet will head on to events in Green Bay, Kenosha, Sarnia, Kingsville and Erie before the finale festival in Brockville.
