Sail from Morbihan's Gulf Week to the heart of L'Armada 2019

Join the tall ship ATYLA in Vannes on June 2nd 2019, in the midst of Semaine Du Golfe 2019, for an unforgettable 6 day adventure that both begins and ends in France. We highly recommend you get hands on with setting the sails, steering the ship, keeping watch and more though it will be possible to join as a passenger for this voyage if you simply wish to relax onboard. No experience is required to be able to join either and the permanent crew will be on hand to make sure you know all the information you need to in good time.

You'll be sailing with land in sight throughout most of the voyage.

Taking you from festival to festival, this one delivers a complete maritime experience. You'll be sailing ATYLA between the two largest French maritime festivals of 2019. You'll see yourself surrounded by hundreds of ships in both locations and you'll even get the chance to visit some of them in your free time.

In the Gulf of Morbihan you'll be boarding ATYLA right at the end of the festival. You’ll embark in the morning and after initial introductions we’ll leave in the afternoon. We’ll get to sail in company with many other beautiful vessels as much of the event fleet leaves together on the high tide.

We'll then set course north and sail along the beautiful French coast for almost 4 full days, using the experiences on board to learn about ourselves and the others on board, improving our life skills and our sailing skills.

After the sailing, we will reach the Seine, the river that flows through Paris, and we will sail it up contemplating the beautiful river banks along the way. The are chances that we’ll sail the river together with other huge tall ships from around the world, that will be arriving at the same time.

We'll reach Rouen by June 6th at the latest. That evening we’ll celebrate the arrival with a nice dinner at a local restaurant.

The day after we’ll have time to welcome the first visitors to the ship, and also to visit some of the other ships in the festival ourselves. As the crew of Atyla, we’ll get to visit as colleagues and friends, and hopefully that way they'll give us a tour around their ship (we can, of course, pay them back with a visit around Atyla). The disembarkation is on the morning of the following day.

You can also stay on board Atyla for the duration of the festival, and have time to explore the region while you have your home in one of the ships in the middle of the event. As a participant/passenger on this trip, you have a discounted price.

In case the ship is not moored exactly in Vannes, we'll provide transport from Vannes to the ship.

The voyage cost includes; the possible transport in Vannes; 3 meals a day and your own private bunk; certificated participation in Atyla’s Personal Development Programme; insurance for your time on board (see terms and conditions); and an official Atyla T-shirt.

Your journey aboard this beautiful 2 Masted Staysail Schooner will end in Rouen where you'll find yourself a part of L’Armada Rouen 2019 and disembark on June 8th.
