Join the tall ship Trinovante in Ålesund on August 10th 2019 for an unforgettable 8 day expedition that both begins and ends in Norway. You'll be getting hands on with setting the sails, steering the ship, keeping watch and more throughout the voyage and the best part is that no experience is required in order to join - you'll be taught everything you need to know before you need to know it at every stage throughout the journey.
You'll be sailing with land in sight throughout most of the voyage.
A classic Norwegian fjords and islands sailing holiday on a very varied part of the coastline. Sail from the Art Deco city of Ålesund through the off-lying islands past the sometimes menacing Stad headland (Norway's Cape Horn). Wander ashore on the peaceful garden island of Silde with its stunning views and surprising deep greenery. This a very choice part of the Norwegian coast with a huge variation of scenery. Expect day sailing in waters that vary from narrow wooded channels to huge open fjords, time ashore in remote places and iconic cities at the start and finish. If you like to get out for a walk bring some suitable footwear. Sea miles 160.
Your journey aboard this beautiful Gaff Schooner Three Masts will end in Bergen where you'll disembark on August 18th. Please note the minimum age for anybody joining this voyage is 18.
