Gloria, a Sail Training tall ship operated by the Colombian Navy

As the official flagship of the Colombian Navy it is the job of ARC Gloria to not only train cadets but also to act as an ambassador for her nation in every port she visits. Her journey over the past five decades has seen visits to over 180 ports in 70 countries, taking part in numerous events, welcoming many international heads of state and training over 4,200 cadets to date.

Among her many crew you'll usually find pets too, with the latest of those being a labrador named Argos who's sole job is to keep safe the welfare of the crew.

Did You Know? Many navies from across the world use tall ships like Gloria to expose their cadets to an experience known as 'Sail Training', a course in personal and professional development championed worldwide for its effectiveness in developing key skills in leadership, teamwork and more.
