Cutty Sark is the world’s only surviving extreme tea clipper, a survivor of over 150 years of history.

One of the last clippers built to carry the freshest tea from China to the eager British market, Cutty Sark embodies the peak of technological innovation, designed to maximise both cargo space and speed.

After a long career in the merchant service of Britain and later Portugal, Cutty Sark spent a number of years as a training vessel for mariners of the future. After featuring in the 1951 Festival of Britain, the ship moved to Greenwich, as a memorial to merchant seafarers and a museum, and the only vessel in England to have Grade I listed status.
