Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong 2018, Celebrating of the History and Heritage of Wooden Boats!
The Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong is a celebration of the history, tradition and heritage of Wooden Boats. Held biannually at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. It is a great opportunity for our community to see first hand some of the most historic wooden boats in Australia sailing on Corio bay. The festival has a strong cultural multicultural theme thru local communities as well as engaging our arts and school groups. The festival has a strong on water presence with many races taking place on the flat waters of Corio Bay. There will be Tall Ships, Couta Boats, Classic Yachts,Rowing and Motor Boats as well as historic Skiffs. The festival has a strong focus on Children's activities as well as a great entertainment program.
