An international fleet of tall ships takes over the cities of Punta del Este and Montevideo in Uruguay for Velas LatinoAmérica Punta del Este / Montevideo 2018.
As a part of the Velas LatinoAmérica 2018 series it’s all about strengthening bonds between the many Navies and nations participating, an idea that extends beyond the 1500+ crew members to the many thousands of visitors expected to descend on the city for a celebration like no other.
It’s a quite unique opportunity for the general public to step aboard so many of the worlds most beautiful naval tall ships - so far at least 12 Class A vessels from 11 nations have registered their interest and our recommendation for Velas LatinoAmérica Punta del Este / Montevideo 2018 is of course Capitán Miranda of the Uruguayan Navy, a ship guaranteed to be in full festival swing for her home event.
