If you've heard of Liverpool, you're sure to know a few of the things the city is famous for, one of them being its docks. Those docks are not consigned to history however, they're very much in use, and every year they become the beating heart of a celebration of the region - The International Mersey River Festival.
This festival regularly attracts tall ships big and small from all over Europe and in 2018 will become host to the beginning of a quite spectacular event - The Three Cities Tall Ships Regatta. You may see it called the Mersey River Festival 2018, or you may see it called Tall Ships Liverpool 2018 - all we know is they're one and the same and you really can't afford to miss it!
From Liverpool the tall ships will race across to Dublin, Ireland before heading south for the finale of the Three Festivals Regatta in Bordeaux, France.
