As a part of the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE Gulf Coast 2018 series, many of the ships will be crewed by young people who have never sailed before, running educational programmes that help them to develop both personally and professionally through a practice known as Sail Training.
Following a must-see parade of sail as the ships arrive on April 5th, this event will offer a fantastic opportunity for visitors to step aboard many beautiful tall ships from across the world and if that isn't quite enough for you, both When and IF and Lynx will be offering the chance to sail away for a few hours on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Please check the official Tall Ships Galveston website for Ticket and booking information as well as for updates on scheduling for the parade of sail.
From Galveston the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® fleet will head to Pensacola and New Orleans before sailing out to the Atlantic coast to take part in Sail Philadelphia 2018.
