According to the Austrlian National Maritime Museum, Endeavour, a 143ft Bark, will be in Cairns, Queensland from Tuesday, June 30th to Sunday, July 5th 2020.
As a part of Encounters 2020/21 - which marks 250 years since Captain James Cook and the crew of HMB Endeavour charted the East Coast of Australia - this event will provide an opportunity to experience what life was like for Cook and his crew whilst learning of the impact their voyage had and reflecting on the moments of first contact with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
