This quite spectacular event is often the largest gaff rigged sailing competition in Northern Europe and regularly sees the inner fjord of Flensburg welcome over 100 traditional sailing vessels for a regatta like no other. We hear that second prize is traditionally a 3-litre bottle of rum, a quite interesting twist that sees competitors trying their best not to come in first!
