Compete in The Liberty Tall Ships Regatta as Crew of Gulden Leeuw

Join the tall ship Gulden Leeuw in Le Havre on June 16th 2019, in the midst of Liberty Tall Ships Regatta Rouen 2019, for an unforgettable 6 day adventure that will see you travel from France to The Netherlands. You'll be getting hands on with setting the sails, steering the ship, keeping watch and more throughout the voyage and the best part is that no experience is required in order to join - you'll be taught everything you need to know before you need to know it at every stage throughout the journey.

After onboard briefings and a little time to get to know your shipmates you'll be primed to take part in The Liberty Tall Ships Regatta 2019 as crew of Gulden Leeuw.

Take part in a race between Tall Ships, sailing from the north of France to the Netherlands. Set the sails, steer, navigate and just enjoy spending time out of the city. Reach Scheveningen, a port just outside of the Hague, famous for the hospitality towards sailors. Scheveningen has hosted many successful maritime evens so far. Enjoy the celebrations in port and meeting all of the other sailors from different vessels before it’s time to go back home.

Le Havre is a large north French maritime commercial and passenger port established in the early XVI century. The city in on the UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historical buildings and is considered a birthplace of impressionism. Walk in the steps of Monet and discover the places you know from modern art. Take a hiking tour, visit one of the nearby castles (chateau), the Graville abbey, see the hanging gardens or take a walk in one of the many city parks.

Scheveningen is a popular sea resort in the Netherlands, a stone’s throw away from the seat of government in The Hague. It has a busy marina and a lively (somewhat kitschy) promenade – great for an afternoon of sightseeing. You’ll also find plenty to do nearby. Go for a walk in the dune landscape or take a tour around the Palace of Peace. Visit Madurodam to see the Netherlands rebuilt in miniature, check out the city centre of The Hague, or explore the beach and perhaps even go kitesurfing.

Your journey aboard this beautiful 3 Masted Topsail Schooner will end in Scheveningen where you'll find yourself a part of Liberty Tall Ships Regatta The Hague 2019 and disembark on June 22nd. Please note the minimum age for anybody joining this voyage is 15.
