Galician Experiences - Gijón to Vigo - Bilingual Voyage (ESP/ENG)

Join the tall ship ATYLA in Gijón on April 22nd 2019 for an unforgettable 5 day adventure that both begins and ends in Spain. We highly recommend you get hands on with setting the sails, steering the ship, keeping watch and more though it will be possible to join as a passenger for this voyage if you simply wish to relax onboard. No experience is required to be able to join either and the permanent crew will be on hand to make sure you know all the information you need to in good time.

You'll experience three days of sailing and three exquisite activities in Galicia. Our Galician Experience voyages combine our personal development programme with select experiences in the places that we visit such as guided tours, gastronomic experiences, activities in nature and more.

On this trip, we'll have 3 days of interrupted sailing during which you'll have the chance of participating in all the activities on board with the guidance of our crew, who will help you work on some basic life-skills. Upon arrival to Vigo we'll have one and a half days of activities in the city and beyond.

The exact activities are still to be confirmed, but after arriving in Vigo (at 10:00) we are looking into a Hiking tour or a similar outdoors activity in the region, plus a tapas city tour around the city of Vigo. The day after, we'll organise a short sailing cruise around the Ria de Vigo combined with a tasting of local cuisine by a specialised agency.

All these activities are included in the price of the trip.

Both English and Spanish languages will be spoken onboard to ensure a diverse crew with people from different countries (people that speak very little English can also join us). The team on board will help keep the communication fluid between everyone, and we’ll work on communication tools for multicultural environments.

The voyage price includes: 3 meals a day and your own private bunk; the hiking tour in near Vigo (or a similar outdoor activity); the tapas tour in the city of Vigo; tasting of local specialties during a short sailing trip around Ría de Vigo; certificated participation in Atyla’s Personal Development Programme; insurance for your time on board (see terms and conditions); and an official Atyla T-shirt.

Your journey aboard this beautiful 2 Masted Staysail Schooner will end in Vigo where you'll disembark on April 27th.
