You'll join the tall ship MAYBE in Belfast, Northern Ireland on May 11th, ready to begin an unforgettable 6 day Sail Training voyage that both begins and ends in the United Kingdom. You'll be getting hands on with setting the sails, steering the ship, keeping watch and more throughout the voyage and the best part is that no experience is required in order to join - you'll be taught everything you need to know before you need to know it at every stage throughout the journey.
If you're hoping to get RYA qualified it will be possible to work toward your RYA Comp Crew or RYA Start Yachting whilst onboard.
You'll be spending a week sailing the Irish Sea whilst learning all the skills necessary to sail a traditional gaff rigged ketch. This is a hands on practical course and by the end of the week you should be competent in keeping course, handling the sails, assisting in the daily onboard duties and more.
Your journey aboard this beautiful Gaff Rigged Ketch will end in Greenock, Scotland where you'll disembark on May 17th. Please note you need to be aged between 18 and 100 in order to join this voyage.

Maybe Sailing Vessels are covered by third party liability insurance for serious injury or loss of life, but they strongly advise you to take out travel insurance as soon as you book your holiday. Make sure you find travel insurance that gives you financial protection if you must cancel or curtail your holiday, cover loss or damage to baggage, or incur any additional medical or transport costs. If you have your own annual travel insurance or a cover with your credit or debit card, please check your own policy carefully to make sure it covers sailing/ cruising/ yachting for sailing more than 12 miles from shore.
