Join MAYBE in Cadiz, Spain on July 11th 2020, in the midst of The Tall Ships Races Cádiz 2020, for an unforgettable 14 day adventure that both begins and ends in Spain. We highly recommend you get hands on with setting the sails, steering the ship, keeping watch and more though it will be possible to join as a passenger for this voyage if you simply wish to relax onboard. No experience is required to be able to join either and the permanent crew will be on hand to make sure you know all the information you need to in good time.
After onboard briefings and a little time to get to know your shipmates you'll be primed to take part in The Tall Ships Races 2020 aboard MAYBE . Your voyage will feature a mix of Ocean Crossing and Offshore sailing. Ocean crossings under traditional sail are far from easy. Ocean passages can bring conditions fit for only the boldest adventurers seeking the ultimate challenge.
Nothing can quite prepare you for the unforgettable atmosphere of racing. Picture yourself sailing on a beautiful Tall Ship, way out at sea, with the waves crashing against the hull, no land in sight, the sun rising behind you, and your closest competitor hot on your heels.
Following four days of joyous celebrations in Cádiz, Spain, the Tall Ships race fleet will embark upon 12 days of sailing, with a comprehensive mix of competition and exploration on offer for you to enjoy…
Unlike the majority of the Tall Ships Races race legs, Race 2 in 2020 will not be finishing in the final destination port. Instead, the race will finish off the coast of southern Portugal and be followed by a Cruise-in-Company. Throughout this cruise, the tall and small ships will have the opportunity to stop in a number of ports who will greet the crews with festivities and celebrations.
This voyage is the perfect chance to experience all that Portugal and Spain have to offer. You’ll find wonderful landscapes, natural reserves, amazing bays, safe anchorages, historic ports, diverse dining, cultural experiences, and much more.
Your racing voyage aboard this beautiful Gaff Rigged Ketch will end in A Coruna, Spain where you'll find yourself a part of The Tall Ships Races A Coruña 2020 and disembark on July 26th. The primary language spoken onboard will be English.
