Merseyside Adventure Sailing Trust is a Liverpool based charity whose mission is to enable young people to develop themselves through the challenge of tall ships sailing.
The focus of MAST is not simply on the time a young person spends at sea. They work closely with each trainee both before and after a voyage to ensure that young person gains as much as possible in education, training and self-development as a result of the tall ship sailing experience.
One of the ways in which MAST achieves this goal is through organising the annual Apprentice Ship Cup, the UK's largest annual tall ships regatta, where those who sail are apprentices and young employees sent by a number of national and even multi-national companies who recognise the positive impact such an experience can have in their career development.
