Sail training school which promote environmental education
The Programme Cabestan aloud at-risk youth to get back on their feet and to take actions towards their goals. We create a path where they can measure their strengths, develop confidence and attain realistic targets. The project induces a socio-professional reintegration of a vulnerable clientele from 18 to 35 years old through sail training and psychosocial support. New immigrants, single mothers, people from linguistic minority, youth with interest for the maritime industry, struggling with addictions or with a low level of education will be taken out of their comfort zone, will develop a sense of belonging to Canada and will build a significant professional and personal network, able to support them through their future achievements. The sailing project transforms each and everyone, enabling participants to discover the pleasure of learning.
