According to Fondation Belem, Belem, a 65m 3 Masted Barque, will be in Toulon from Saturday, October 24th to Sunday, October 25th 2020.
Launched in 1896, Belem began life as a cargo ship transporting sugar from the West Indies as well as cocoa and coffee from Brazil and French Guiana to Nantes in France. Highlights in her history include ownership by Hugh Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster, and the beer baron Sir Author Ernest Guinness as well as a number of narrow escapes from disaster, including the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902 because the harbour had, by chance, been too full to accommodate her.
As always, please refer to the official site (linked below if available) for the latest details, public opening hours and ticket information as timings may be subject to change and your visit may require booking in advance.
