If you're looking for something to do in Saint-Malo in September 2020, we'd highly recommend you visit the tall ship Belem. According to Fondation Belem, she'll be in Saint-Malo, France, from Saturday, September 5th to Sunday, September 6th 2020.
Launched in 1896, Belem began life as a cargo ship transporting sugar from the West Indies as well as cocoa and coffee from Brazil and French Guiana to Nantes in France. Highlights in her history include ownership by Hugh Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster, and the beer baron Sir Author Ernest Guinness as well as a number of narrow escapes from disaster, including the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902 because the harbour had, by chance, been too full to accommodate her.
