Oostende Voor Anker 2017, "A Feast of North Sea Heritage"
Expect over 150 classic and traditional vessels from all over Europe to descend on Oostende, the centre of maritime heritage for Belgium, for what is sure to be an unforgettable celebration of maritime history. Whilst the theme for this years event is 'Inland Waterways Transport', you can still expect a large number of tall ships to be in attendance, including many class A square riggers.
Your experience won't just be limited to the water however as the land will be taken over too, by a number of festival 'villages' featuring a range of displays, activities and more. No doubt there'll be fireworks too and of course, wherever you are throughout the event there's one thing you simply won't be able to escape - Music!
