According to the official organiser Hanse Sail Rostock 2020 (also known as 30th Hanse Sail Rostock) will take place in Rostock, Germany from Thursday, August 6th to Sunday, August 9th 2020.
Vessels confirmed so far for Hanse Sail Rostock 2020, which will be a part of Baltic Sail 2020 include J.R. Tolkien, a 42m Top Sail Schooner, Kruzenshtern, a 4 Masted Barque, MIR, a 108.60m Full-Rigged Ship, Morgenster, a 2 Masted Brig, and Twister, a 36m Schooner.
As one of the largest maritime festivals in Europe, Hanse Sail Rostock 2020 is a must see event. Whilst an international fleet of over 150 traditionally rigged vessels provides the centrepiece to the event, it’s also about exploring the history, culture and traditions of the Baltic region as a part of Baltic Sail 2020.
If you’re keen to experience traditional sail first hand then look no further as Hanse Sail Rostock 2020 will offer the chance to step aboard and sail away aboard many of the vessels in attendance. If you’re entertaining guests there will likely also be deck hospitality opportunities on offer.
If you’re a fan of a good finale, make sure you stay up for the fireworks* on the final evening and stick around for the parade of sail* the next day as all the ships set sail together in a spectacular farewell to the city of Rostock.
