Hamburg port turns 828 years old and once again celebrates with the worlds largest annual port festival, Hafengeburtstag Hamburg 2017.
Over 300 vessels are expected to be in attendance, from windjammers right through to cruise ships and everything in between, with not just one but TWO parades on the water to mark both arrival and departure of the fleet in true maritime fashion.
If you’re a fan of traditional sail you can expect tall ships of every class to be in attendance, with ample opportunity to step aboard for a look around in port or even a quick sail down the Elbe. If you’re entertaining guests we expect there will also be opportunity for hospitality aboard a number of the ships in attendance.
While the event centres around the ships, there will also be upward of 200 attractions and activities on offer throughout this beautiful Hanseatic city, from live music to culinary delights, cultural activities and of course a fireworks spectacular on the final evening.
