Jump aboard a round-the-world yacht
Challenge Wales | Wales' Tall Ship will be on display in Cardiff Bay, as part of the Volvo Ocean Race village. Jump aboard and see how people slept, lived and sailed around the world and learn about the amazing work and adventures that Challenge Wales undertakes now.
The Volvo Ocean Race heads into Cardiff, its first visit to a Welsh port in its history. The Volvo Ocean Race vessels are very different to Challenge Wales and although Challenge Wales is a bigger yacht and built to race around the world the wrong way in the world's toughest yacht race, the Volvo Ocean Race boats are built for speed. The Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Cardiff is 26th May - 10th June and free activities are planned. Access to Challenge Wales and the Volvo Ocean Race Village are via the Penarth/Cardiff Barrage.
